Practicum Student Therapist

Cherie Dittberner

Cherie brings warmth, empathy, and encouragement to her counselling work. She believes that well-being is more than the absence of struggle, and enjoys helping clients reconnect with their strengths, values, and sense of possibility. She is passionate about helping clients explore what supports personal growth, resilience, and well-being, believing that everyone has the capacity to heal, adapt, and move toward meaningful change. She sees life’s challenges not as indicative of failure, but as a natural part of being human; these challenges offer opportunity for reflection, insight, and transformation.

Drawing on her background in business, parenting, marriage, and major life transitions, Cherie understands the many roles and pressures people navigate in their personal, work, and family lives. She is especially drawn to supporting adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, or a general sense of being “stuck.” She values each person’s unique story and approaches clients with curiosity, respect, and compassion. Her goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen and supported as they move toward growth, confidence, and a life aligned with their values.

Cherie is completing her practicum at Evergreen Therapy as part of her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She looks forward to walking alongside clients as they explore meaningful change.
